- Medicare Interactive (MI) is your one-stop source for information about health care rights, options and benefits.
- VisionUSA
- Provides free eye care to uninsured, low-income people who work at least part-time.
- EyeCare America
- American Academy of Ophthalmology provides free eye care to senior citizens, senior citizens with diabetes, people at risk for glaucoma, and children.
- Sight For Students
- Free eye exams and glasses to children 18 years and younger whose families cannot afford vision care.
- Medicare Glaucoma Benefit
- Medicare pays for eye exams for people at risk for glaucoma. At-risk is defined as people with diabetes or a family history of glaucoma, or African Americans age 50 or older.
- Knights Templar Eye Foundation
- This program provides the uninsured with funding for eye surgery.
- The Medicine Program
- The doctor completes an application for the patient, and patients receive prescription medication free of charge.
- State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)
- This insurance provides comprehensive medical coverage for children 18 years and younger.
