What is a Global Health Society?
Unite For Sight's Global Health Societies are student organizations at North American universities and high schools that learn about innovation and best practices in global health, while also adopting a clinic to support with campus fundraising efforts.
100% of all funds raised by the Global Health Society go directly to restoring sight for blind patients living in villages and refugee camps. Follow the dispatches from Ghana on Facebook, and see how the Global Health Societies are making an immense impact!
Officers receive leadership training and have an opportunity to complete a Certificate in Student Leadership. All Global Health Society participants also optionally have an opportunity to attend free online 1-hour webinars with leading experts in global health, and those Society members who participate in at least five webinars during the academic year receive a Certificate in Global Health Innovation.
University and high school Global Health Society volunteers learn about global health and receive leadership training and mentoring, while they also have a direct impact on improving health worldwide.
If your registration is approved, Unite For Sight will contact you, schedule a phone conversation with you, and we will work closely with you to establish a Global Health Society of Unite For Sight.
Unite For Sight has more than 20 Global Health Societies at universities and high schools in the United States and Canada.
