Summary of Research Results: Vu Tran

Unite For Sight Global Impact Fellow volunteers frequently pursue public health research studies in Unite For Sight's Global Impact Lab program. The research topics are developed by Unite For Sight and the partner eye clinics, the research studies are approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB), and the research findings are submitted to the eye clinic partners for program development.

Vu Tran, "The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Of Ghana: A Ghanaian Patient Perspective"

This is an account of a study of thirty-six patients in the Greater Accra and Volta regions in Ghana.  As an IRB-approved qualitative study, structured interviews were conducted at the outreaches of Unite for Sight partner eye clinics around rural Ghana. Patient responses were recorded, organized, and analyzed to gain a better understanding of the patient perspective of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) of Ghana.
