Ophthalmos and Rotary Club Donate 32 Optyse Ophthalmoscopes to Unite For Sight

Ophthalmos, a UK-based company, and Stevenage Grange Rotary Club, UK, generously donated 32 Optyse ophthalmoscopes to Unite For Sight's international eye care programs in India, Thailand, and Ghana.  The Optyse Lens Free Ophthalmoscope is revolutionizing ophthalmoscopy.  According to Ophthalmos, removing the need for complicated lens adjustments, the Optyse is unique in its ease of use and efficiency for community-based screenings.

The Stevenage Grange Rotary Club developed an initiative called Rotary Ophthalmoscope Initiative (ROI), whereby they purchase Optyse units to donate to eye charities and other organizations that can benefit from its use.  Donations have previously been made to Sight Savers International, Christian Blind Mission, and other organizations and individuals working overseas.

"We are very grateful for this generous donation of much-needed Optyse ophthalmoscopes for our programs," said Jennifer Staple, Founder, President and CEO.  "The support from Ophthalmos is greatly appreciated.  In addition to this donation of Optyse units, the company was also a sponsor of our recent Third Annual Conference at Yale University."
