Social Entrepreneurship Online Course
This online course describes the defining characteristics of the social entrepreneur, the difference between social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship, the way in which social entrepreneurship differs from charity, the role of innovation in social entrepreneurship, and how to measure the success of a social venture by assessing its impact.
This course provides a comprehensive overview about social entrepreneurship. Unite For Sight's Global Impact Fellows are encouraged to understand social entrepreneurship and to become social entrepreneurs and supporters of social innovation implemented by local health professionals. This online course enables a Global Impact Fellow to understand the communities where they will work and also to combine their philanthropic impulse with an entrepreneurial spirit in order to serve Unite For Sight’s mission of delivering quality care for all.
