Volunteer Service Awards

Each April, we look forward to honoring the most stellar chapters and volunteers with special awards that embody the power of volunteerism. The winners are decided in March, announced at the Unite For Sight Annual Conference in April, included in the Conference Brochure, and featured on our website. It is not necessary for the award winners to be present at the Unite For Sight Global Health and Innovation Summit at Yale University, but it is our hope to personally honor the award winners on stage at the conference's opening session.

Award Criteria

The award recipients will be those who go above and beyond to make significant impacts in the community. The monthly updates, chapter advisor reviews, and other correspondence regarding activities, are integral to the award decisions. We encourage chapters to submit supplemental materials to Unite For Sight, Inc., on a regular basis, including photographs, video, narrative stories from volunteers or clients, newspaper articles and media clippings, and letters of appreciation from community partners. The deadline for receipt of materials is March 10, 2009, but we encourage ongoing submission throughout the academic year.
