Volunteer Abroad In The Global Impact Corps
High-Impact Service That Trains New And Future Leaders in Global Health
Unite For Sight is the world's leader in socially responsible, effective volunteering abroad. Global Impact Corps is a high-impact service opportunity that provides an immersive global health experience for students and for professionals.
All volunteers participating in Unite For Sight's international programs are Global Impact Fellows. They participate daily with local ophthalmologists, local optometrists, and local ophthalmic nurses to eliminate patient barriers to care and to facilitate comprehensive year-round eye care for patients living in extreme poverty. Through hands-on, structured training, volunteers gain a comprehensive understanding about the complexities and realities of global health, and they learn about best practices in volunteerism, global health, social entrepreneurship, and international development. Global Impact Fellows receive a Certificate in Global Health & Program Delivery, and they are nurtured and encouraged to apply their global health delivery skills to become new leaders in global health. They may also participate in the Global Impact Lab, an optional program for volunteers interested in pursuing global health research.
